School Surveys

Today I handed out surveys to each family. Please be sure to take a minute to fill them out. Your honest thoughts and feedback about the school and us as teachers is greatly appreciated. Knowing what areas we are strong in and about those areas where we could improve upon are important to us as educators. Surveys are to be filled out anonymously, unless you choose otherwise. There is a drop-box in the front office of the school to put your surveys in, or you may bring them to the classroom and we can put them in the box for you. Thank you!

Snowman Family Project

Thank you so much to all the families who took part in last month's Family Project. The turkey's were just adorable and super creative! This month's "Family Project" is a snowman! Your fabulous creations will be due back to school on January 4th. You may however, turn it in sooner if you wish. I am looking forward to weeing what kinds of snowman everyone creates!

A Change In Position-

I wrote in this month's newsletter that our class would be on the left side of the sanctuary for the Christmas program this Saturday, December 10th. Today was the first day we were able to rehearse with the risers and found that the left side of the sanctuary was not big enough for our class. Because of this, we are now going to be directly in the middle on the altar. See you Saturday!

Christmas Program- December 10th at 11:30am

Little Lambs Academy’s annual Christmas program will be held Saturday, December 10th, at 11:30am for OUR class. There are three scheduled times, so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, be sure that you are here on time for the correct program. We are asking that the children arrive to the classroom NO LATER than 11:15am. This will allow us to dress them in their costumes and place them in their correct spots for the program. Our class will be positioned on the left side of the sanctuary, so we encourage you to sit on the right side of the sanctuary to have the best view. Also, please be considerate of the other families viewing their children in the program, and refrain from standing up to video or photograph during the program. Seating is first come, first serve, so we encourage you to come early.
Christmas Jubilee Breakfast!!

Please be sure to check the inside of the classroom door for our sign-up sheet for our Christmas Jubilee breakfast that will be held on Thursday, December 15th, at 9:00am. Your help making this day a success is greatly appreciated!

Gingerbread Houses and Class Gift Exchange -

After our Christmas Jubilee breakfast, we will be decorating gingerbread houses. This is an annual tradition here at Little Lambs Academy, and we look forward to it every year! In order for every child to decorate a house, he or she will need to bring in one can of white icing and some sort of candy to decorate with by Tuesday, December 13th. PLEASE write your child’s name on the icing can only. All candy will be distributed amongst the class for decorating. Also, we are in need of approximately 6 extra cans of white icing so that we may pre-assemble the houses for the children. Please let either of us know if you are able to donate an extra can. As always, your generosity is greatly appreciated!
Here are some suggested candy items for you to consider, but feel free to bring in an item of your choosing.
___ mini candy canes             ___  M&M’s              ___ mini marshmallows
___ gumballs                         ___ snowcaps            ___ skittles
___ peppermints                   ___ licorice rope       ___ marshmallow Peeps

Gift Exchange Information
The final activity of our Christmas Jubilee will be a puzzle exchange among the children. We are asking that each child please bring a wrapped puzzle (no more than $5.00) to school no later than December 13th. Boys should purchase for a boy and girls should purchase for a girl. Please be sure to label the gift as such. For example: To: A boy, From: Tailor. Our local Family Dollar Stores have a fantastic selection of floor puzzles for both boys and girls, right at the $5.00 price. Another great choice for finding puzzles is the Dollar Store, where of course everything is a dollar! If there is anyone who is unable to take part in the exchange, please let us know. We will make sure everyone has a gift to exchange that day.

The kids sang wonderfully and looked  so adorable in their "turkey headbands."  A HUGE thank you to all of the parents who brought food and drink items to share with everyone. Everything tasted so good! How wonderful it was to have each of you in class today. We are truly blessed to have a such great parent involvement. Pictures to come soon!!
